McKenzie R. Jordan

PRESIDENT

McKenzie Jordan was born and raised in the construction industry.  He learned the value of hard work from his father, Charles, who owned a local construction company.  Growing up, McKenzie worked in many aspects of his father’s business.  As a young child, he started out completing small jobs around the office such as cutting the grass and weed eating.  He spent his summers in high school as a field employee.  Later, in college, he worked as an Assistant Project Manager and then moved up to a Project Manager. Over the years, he gained valuable construction knowledge by working in the industry from the ground up.

 In 1996, McKenzie and his father founded a new construction company that later became known as Chancel Construction, Inc.  McKenzie gained significant hands-on experience in his first role as a Project Manager of that company.  In this position, he personally oversaw the completion of construction projects worth more than $100 million in revenue. 

With each successful project, McKenzie built strong and enduring partnerships in the industry.  His leadership continues to expand both professionally and personally.  Over the years, McKenzie has served on the Board of Visitors for the E. Craig Wall Sr. School of Business Administration and the Alumni Association Board at Coastal Carolina University.  He has been a board member at the Theatre of the Republic in Conway and served on the Board of Directors for Coastal Carolina Chrysalis.  He has been involved with the United Way of Horry County, Conway Chamber of Commerce and served on the Board of Trustees at Trinity United Methodist Church in Conway. 

McKenzie currently serves on the City of Conway Community Appearance Board. He is a member, Deacon and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Conway.  He is a graduate of Conway High School and Coastal Carolina University.  In his free time, McKenzie enjoys boating, scuba diving, reading and spending time with his family.  You are certain to find him on any given Saturday supporting the University of South Carolina Gamecocks! McKenzie is married to Jenni and they are the proud parents of three children—Will, Andrew and Anne Caroline. 

Jim Moore

PROJECT MANAGER

Jim Moore has been an integral part of Chancel Construction for over twenty years.  As a Project Manager, Jim is responsible for enforcing construction standards, performing quality control inspections during construction and prior to pre-closing, minimizing budget variances, and maintaining safe OSHA compliant job sites.  He actively evaluates, prices and recommends trade contractors and suppliers to site managers and works hand in hand with our site superintendents on a daily basis.  He works closely with job owners to help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. 

Jim is originally from Huntington, West Virginia, but has called the Grand Strand home since the mid 1980s. He is a graduate of Marshall University where he received a degree in Business Management with a Major in Accounting and a Minor in Engineering. Jim is very detail oriented.  This attention to detail shows in all projects that he undertakes. 

Jim and his wife Connie have three grown daughters—Elizabeth, Holly and Jenny.  They are also the proud grandparents of three beautiful grandchildren!  In his spare time, Jim enjoys spending time at the shooting range with friends.  He is an avid supporter of the West Virginia Mountaineers and USC Gamecocks.  He and his family actively support Help 4 Kids and Backpack Buddies.  This wonderful organization helps make sure underprivileged children in Horry County have clothing and food to keep them healthy. We are proud to have Jim Moore as a part of the Chancel team.    

Joseph Holmes

PROJECT MANAGER

Joseph Holmes began his career in construction over twenty-five years ago when he started working as a summer laborer for Chancel Construction while he was still in high school. Joseph then went on to study at Clemson University, where he earned a degree in Construction Science and Management. Since 2016, we have been fortunate to have Joseph back on our team working as a Project Manager for Chancel Construction. As a Project Manager, Joseph is responsible for soliciting projects through networking with area business leaders and other contacts, managing projects and field staff to meet budgets and time objectives and performing project estimating.   He works daily with conceptual budgets, detail takeoff, scope coordination, and final price approval.  Joseph also establishes project schedules and is responsible for periodic updates to verify actual work completed meets schedule requirements.

Joseph is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, minimizing budget variances, maintaining safe OSHA compliant job sites, and implementing and utilizing a computerized construction system.  Joseph works hard daily to ensure our jobs are completed in a timely fashion and on budget.   In his role as a Project Manager, Joseph enjoys working with and building relationships with owners, designers and subcontractors.   

Throughout his time with Chancel, Joseph has remained active in his community.  He has volunteered as a baseball coach for the Conway Recreation Department and been a Captain and fishing coach for the Student Angler League Tournament Trail (SALTT). He has also served as a board member for the Conway High School Booster Club.  He and his family are active members of Langston Baptist Church in Conway where Joseph serves as the church’s Facilities Manager. 

In his free time, Joseph enjoys spending time with his wife, Leigh and their three boys—Charlie, Chase and Chapin.  Joseph is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys boating, hunting and fishing.  Joseph is a friendly, knowledgeable, vital member of the Chancel team. 

Charles Jordan

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Prior to starting his career in construction, Charles Jordan obtained his Professional Engineering (PE) license while working with Duke Power as manager of the Charlotte district “Power Use” department.  After leaving Duke Power, Charles worked for two years as a Project Manager/Estimator with Dargan Construction in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Charles later started Charles Construction Company—a small custom home building company.  Here he applied his engineering and commercial construction knowledge to build quality upper-end homes at a reasonable cost.

In 1980, he and a partner began Chancel Construction to build Trinity United Methodist Church in Conway, South Carolina.  Over the years Charles continued to grow his company by building in commercial, institutional and industrial areas.  Chancel’s volume exceeded fifty million dollars annually throughout this time period.  In 2007, MB Kahn Construction purchased Chancel Construction Group’s assets.  Charles became Senior Executive Vice President until 2014 when he officially “retired” to pursue other interests.

Since retiring from MB Kahn, Charles has taken an active, and enjoyable, role at Chancel Construction as the Chief Financial Officer of the company.  He enjoys sharing his business and construction knowledge with other members of the Chancel team. You can find Charles at the office almost daily assisting in many areas of the company. 

While work and civic activities are important to Charles, his faith and family are his top priorities.  He and his wife Margaret are the proud parents of three sons and eight grandchildren.  Charles is a proud graduate of Conway High School and the University of South Carolina.  He has been an active member  and lay leader of Trinity United Methodist Church in Conway for many years. He has served on Conway Medical Center’s Board of Trustees, the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce and the Conway High School Educational Foundation.  He has also been a member and chairman of the Wall College Board of Visitiors and a member of the Coastal Carolina University Educational Foundation.  He is a founding member of Habitat for Humanity of Horry County and served on the Horry County Home Builders Association. Charles is an invaluable member of the Chancel team with a wealth of construction knowledge and expertise. 

Kimberly Biddle

GENERAL MANAGER of ADMINISTRATION, FINANCE, FACILITIES, AND EQUIPMENT

Detail oriented, organized and knowledgeable are just a few of the adjectives that describe our General Manager of Administration, Finance, Facilities and Equipment, Kimberly Biddle.  Kim was born in Charleston, West Virginia, but has made Horry County her home since 1983.  She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance from the University of South Carolina—Coastal Carolina College in 1990.  Kim has worked at Chancel Construction for the past five years.  Prior to working at Chancel, Kim worked in bookkeeping and management at other retail, medical and construction companies in our area.

As General Manager of Administration, Finance, Facilities, and Equipment, Kim oversees all aspects of the business operations within our company except for marketing, construction and estimating.  She oversees the day-to-day operations of the office and office personnel.  Kim handles bookkeeping and has the authority to perform day to day accounting operations for the company.  Some of her many duties include banking, financing, billing, timely collection of payments, timely payment of vendors and subcontractors, creating quarterly statements, and completing year-end accounting and taxes.

Kim has the authority and responsibility for the operations and maintenance of Chancel Construction’s main office building.  She also is responsible for the management and maintenance of Chancel’s equipment and vehicles.

Kim is the mother of two amazing children, Olivia and Harrison, and the proud grandmother of Layla. 

Staci Moyaskis

Executive assistant

Staci Moyaskis is one of Chancel Construction’s most valuable resources. If you have worked with Chancel at any time, you are sure to have met or spoken with Staci!  She joined the team at Chancel Construction in 2022.  She works directly with the President and Chief Financial Officer daily.

Her duties are varied. On any given day, you can find Staci working on anything from company benefits to payroll.  She is frequently involved with bid preparation working on estimating calls, following up with various company contacts and preparing bid documentation. 

Staci oversees safety for our company.  She makes sure our company and employees comply with all OSHA requirements.  She handles CPR and First Aid training and keeps up with other safety certifications.  Her job description is broad and her talents are many. 

Staci grew up in Sumter, South Carolina and moved to Mullins with her husband, Adam, in 2019. Staci attended Central Carolina Technical College. Outside of the office, Staci enjoys hanging with her two daughters, Reagan and Rylie Mae, and has a passion for photography.
